Colifornia-Grand Canyon-Las Vegas

London Bridge

The next morning, we got up early and 8:00am we were already on our way to Grand Canyon in Arizona. As the bus climbed higher in the mountains, the plants and landscapes varied with the altitude. We saw the views we had only seen in TV and movies before. From there we can see as far as we would, nothing blocked the sight until the horizon meets the blue sky. We had a very good tour guide, he kept telling interesting stories originated from those areas. Along the way, we stopped several times for shopping and lunch.

An interesting stop that day was the London Bridge. I guess most of you have heard the song "London Bridge is falling down, falling down...", it's talking about this one. The bridge was originally built in London over the Thames River, when it fell down a hundred years ago, an American millionaire bought it. They broke the bridge into thousands of pieces, shipped them to US, and rebuilt it brick by brick on the Lake Mead in Arizona, this is what we see today.
